During the design process, a delicate little red and white fabric swatch was transformed into a colourful collection. The yarn-dyed, patterned dobby-weave is reminiscent of ikat resist-dye colouration. The fabric was woven with two stripes along the length of the selvedge. On our “SIGNE” dress, these are visible at the hem. To make a feature of these stunning stripes, we simply cut the skirt section in the other direction.
