The Joy of colour

My introduction to colour was when I was about 17 years old my late mother took me to get my colours done (looking at what colour suited my skin through a colour chart and scarves). I remember she loved colour too but expressed it through her planting in her garden and creating circular borders in the form of a seasonal colour wheel. This made her garden very attractive and popular amongst other plantswomen. I also remember her knitting colourful jumpers using Kaffe Fassett patterns when I was a child, and the patterns and designs caught my eye.

The first time I came across Gudrun was 10 years ago when I was given a beautiful red patterned apron from a client of mine, Cate from of Much Ado Books (independent bookshop in a neighbouring village). Wearing that apron gave me so much joy and confidence and encouraged me to explore what Gudrun was all about. I got their catalogue and loved every colourful and uplifting page which gave me an instant connection and inspired me to visit their store in London. Visiting the store is the most wonderful, relaxing, inspiring, and joyful of experiences and a feast for the eyes. I love Gudrun’s style, it expresses energy, joyfulness, generosity, and the ability to mix and match makes them the ideal travelling wardrobe.
