Gudrun’s Stockholm
Gudrun loves discovering new places and cultures, but if there’s one place that's particularly close to her heart, it’s her beloved hometown of Stockholm. Here, in this beautiful waterfront city, Gudrun has collected her personal gems – places filled with inspiration, history and creativity.
Stockholm city
There are many beautiful parks, museums, theaters and operas to visit in central Stockholm.
The city of Stockholm is situated on a series of islands and islets, making it one of the world’s most beautiful cities on the water. From here you can take one of many boats out into the archipelago.
Gudrun’s first store is located in the heart of the city. At Regeringsgatan 33 you will find our biggest Gudrun palace, which opened in 1976. You’ll be close to everything here.
Gamla stan
The Gamla Stan, or the Old Town, was built in the Middle Ages and formed the core of the city.
Amidst the winding alleys and charming medieval buildings, there’s so much to see and explore. For example, Stockholm’s Royal Palace, one of the residences of the Swedish royal family, is located here. On one of the liveliest streets, Stora Nygatan, you will find Gudrun’s huge two-story concept store. Clothing, home textiles and plants intermingle here in a gloriously bustling combination.
Hornstull – a jumble of color
Hornstull is in bloom! This neighborhood has been a hub in southern Stockholm since medieval times.
In the 2000s, the neighborhood has flourished with markets, vintage shops and a number of cozy restaurants and cafés. There is even a sandy beach and a huge community garden for green thumbs. If you love urban living and small-scale hustle and bustle, everything you need is right here.
Gudrun’s warehouse store & outlet
Visit our warehouse store in Årstaberg!
It is home to our headquarters and warehouse, and you’ll also find delightful pieces from former collections at incredible prices. There's often something going on – sample collections on sale, extra events and other fun activities. We also have a cozy little café where you can take a break between bargain hunts.
Rosendals Trädgård
Rosendals Trädgård on Djurgården is a green paradise, a stone's throw from central Stockholm.
We at Gudrun Sjödén’s have gone there many times for meetings, photo shoots and various collaborations. Rosendal is an oasis of sustainability, growth and enjoyment. Inspiring experiences and expertise from the green room can all be found here. The garden café serves food made with home-grown biodynamic vegetables, and there is also the opportunity to pick your own flowers.
Artipelag
Where art and nature converge.
The name Artipelag is a fusion of Art, Activities and Archipelago. Artipelag is a huge art gallery on the northeastern shore of Baggensfjärden in the Stockholm archipelago. Surrounded by barren cliffs and pine trees, the aim is to create a beautiful building for art and cultural experiences.
Stockholm archipelago
The Stockholm archipelago contains 24,000 islands, islets and skerries.
There are quite a few locals here, but many tourists also come by boat to enjoy the beautiful archipelago scenery. The Stockholm archipelago is a touch of Swedish paradise. Gudrun goes there to gather strength – at her own little paradise in the northern outer archipelago, where the bedrock is 2 billion years old. The hollows in the rocks are teeming with lush vegetation and are home to a wide range of animals and birds. It is not uncommon to see an eider, gull, nuthatch or tern, which over the years have been the model for our designs...
