Gudrun’s Stockholm Guide

Gudrun’s Stockholm

Gudrun loves discovering new places and cultures, but if there’s one place that's particularly close to her heart, it’s her beloved hometown of Stockholm. Here, in this beautiful waterfront city, Gudrun has collected her personal gems – places filled with inspiration, history and creativity.

Pålsundet

Stockholm is a bit of a Venice of the North, and Pålsundet is a uniquely delightful area filled with hundreds of wooden boats. Located between the islands of Södermalm and Långholmen, these boats slowly glide along the waters of this narrow sound, and the historic atmosphere creates a timeless beauty – right in the middle of the city.

Sergel’s Torg square

Sergel’s Torg is one of the most iconic places in Stockholm and a natural meeting place in the heart of the city. The square is perhaps best known for its black and white, triangular-patterned tile, referred to as “Plattan” – the work of Danish architect Jörgen Kjaergaard, from 1968. Surrounded by a cosmopolitan pulse and modern buildings, Sergel’s Torg square is a symbol of Stockholm’s charm as a city.
