Join us for a creative afternoon spent making himmeli together with our fantastic ambassador, Alison Aune. Alison is a professor of art education at the University of Minnesota Duluth and has been a Gudrun ambassador for over 15 years. She is an award-winning artist whose mixed-media work is inspired by Nordic folk art traditions, combining symbolic and decorative styles.

Himmeli are traditional Nordic ornaments that were once used as ceiling decorations – and we’re making our own while enjoying refreshments. Take this chance to explore all the new delights in the store – during the event, you get a 10% discount on your purchase.

Come and paint with us in a relaxed and playful atmosphere. All materials are available on site, but bring your own if you prefer. No experience necessary – it’s all about creativity and artistic expression!

On Saturday, March 7, we’re having a lucky day! We’re launching our new tunic featuring a chicken print, and celebrating with an inspiring and light-hearted event in the store. Ewelyn Beck discusses life with chickens in the suburbs – how it’s actually less of a project and more of a lifestyle, filled with quality time, presence, and (eventually) your own eggs. Take the opportunity to browse all the unique designs. We’ll be offering coffee and lovely company.

On March 8, you’re invited to a creative workshop in the store! Together with Darcy Lee, we’re turning vintage ties into beautiful silk floral brooches. Darcy Lee is an entrepreneur with a background in handmade jewelry and interior design details, and she has owned a store for many years in San Francisco. Today, she’s leading playful, practical workshops where we’ll turn silk ties into floral accessories.
